Among these diverse bioactive compounds, flavonoids were the largest number of components in the Citrus genus. These flavonoids have been reported to have antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic, anti-atherogenic, anti-proliferative, antibacterial, antiviral, and antifungal activities.
